New Indoor Facility Opening Fall 2016!

Santos FC Directors of Coaching Mazi Chete and Seymour Alleyne are pleased to announce the expansion of Santos FC to include a new indoor practice facility, scheduled to open in the fall of 2016.

Santos FC has signed a long-term lease on a warehouse-style building located at 4445 Weaver Court North in Hilliard, just west of the Mill Run area near the corner of Cemetery and Leap Roads. The building is currently under construction and the lease allows the club to build to suit.

At 12,000 square feet, this new facility will feature 10,000 square feet of turf practice space, a sitting area for parents to wait during training sessions and plenty of parking. This year-round dedicated soccer facility will provide Santos FC with a space for winter training and a location to practice during inclement weather.

Because Santos FC will be responsible for the installation of turf and furnishing the waiting area, the club will conduct a capital campaign to raise funds for the facility. While grant money from the Tri-Village Soccer Association (TVSA) will offset some of the costs, a capital campaign will be necessary to raise the remaining funds from Santos families, friends and community members. Additionally, there will be a minimal increase to Santos FC player fees for the 2016-2017 season to cover the indoor facility operating expenses. This additional fee will allow the club to include winter training and coaching to all players as part of their club membership. Overall the fee increase will be comparable to the former fee for indoor winter training.

We will have more details to share in the coming months, including a specific fee structure. Please watch your email for updates about the facility’s construction progress and our ideas to raise the funds needed to make this a first-class training facility.

We are truly excited about this new opportunity to further the training of your son or daughter’s soccer skills year-round. We hope that players, parents and coaches will embrace this opportunity to show their support for their club by joining us in fundraising and developing this new space.

With appreciation,

Mazi and Seymour
